The episode began with a half-crazed Merle stuck on the roof with zombies beating at the door. He goes from maniacal laughter to seriousness to panic to pleading with Jesus to cursing his name, and credit to Michael Rooker for pulling off what could have been a ridiculous scene.
The episode closes with the community center re-opened. Local news exonerates Sea Dog. Gibbs thanks the reporter lady (whom he took to lunch earlier in the episode). She seems to dig him, but then watches him get into the convertible with the mysterious redhead.
CBS crime shows like to slag on Ohio, but as someone who lived and worked there for 25 years, and who now has a friend in the department, I wonder what Sandusky Fire did to p1$$ off the writers of this episode.
Eventually, Obi-wan and Leia make it to the small spaceport, with help from an unexpected source. However, Darth Vader shows up with Reva, Fifth Brother and other minions. Vader personally hunts for Obi-wan on the main street. Obi-wan decides to lead him away from Leia. He entrusts the local leader of the resistance on the mining planet to get Leia to the pilot of the ship waiting for her at the liftoff area. A surprise cliffhanger ends the episode.

I really liked this episode, too. Totally cried at the end! While laughing and smiling. It was horrible.I am SOOO invested in the Chummy/Noakes relationship. And Sister Evangelina's reactions to their flirting attempts are hilarious. She should start a match-making business. ;)
@Tasha - This show!! I can't think of another like it that puts viewers through the wringer like this one. And this episode seriously almost did me in. Yet in a totally good way, go figure. ;)Chummy and Noakes are ADORABLE. They could seriously carry their own show. And Sister Evangelina as a matchmaker? LOVE IT. She needs to find guys for Trixie and Cynthia now. :)
FInally caught up with this episode last night. Yes, Jimmy is adorable. I can't wait to see what happens there! I loved when the nun rolled her eyes and created a date for Chummy and the policeman. Such a great moment! And I cried buckets of tears over Joe's death and Ted's acceptance of the baby. Oh my! I agree about needing more scenes with the doctor. I've loved him from the moment he encouraged Chummy. He's such a sweetheart, too! Have I mentioned I love this show?
@Kety123 - I didn't find that to be the case at all. If this was a real-life situation given the genetic mix of the child any number of factors could contribute to skin color at birth, I believe, including dominant and/or recessive genes. In any case, that aside I feel a great deal of latitude has to be given to the filmmakers considering they are committed to using real babies during their shoots, and finding a child of the approximate age/weight with the exact genetic makeup of the parents on the show might not have been possible when that episode was scheduled to be filmed.
Upon returning to the scene with Amberle and Wil, the two continue their flirtatious banter that marked the first episodes. Wil goes into the Silver River to retrieve the mud and when he returns, his fair Amberle is gone. Who should have returned but Eretria and another Rover? Thus, our two protagonists are captured.
